WHAT WE BELIEVE

The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as originally given, as the inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God, and as the sole, supreme and all-sufficient authority in every matter of Christian faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16, Psalms 12:6-8).

The basis of what we believe about God and man comes from the Bible, the Word of God. We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the Bible, “as it is in truth, the Word of God...” (I Thessalonians 2:13).

We believe in verbal, plenary inspiration and God's preservation of His pure words to every generation (II Timothy 3:16, Psalms 12:6-8). Unlike man-made creeds that are fallible, the Bible is our sole and final authority for faith and practice.

One living and true God, Sovereign in creation, providence and redemption, subsisting in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - the same in substance and equal in power and glory. (Deuteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14)

​We believe God is supreme in His Person, eternal in His being, absolute in His attributes, and glorious in His Perfection. We believe in the Trinity. There is one Triune God, the creator of heaven and earth, Who has revealed Himself in three distinct but equal Persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is personal, spirit, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, sovereign, perfect, immutable, eternal in His being, holiness, love, and wisdom. We believe that God is absolutely separate from and above the world as its Creator, yet everywhere present in the world as the Sustainer of all things. (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, Deuteronomy 4:35; 6:4; I Corinthians 8: 6, John 1:1-3, Romans 1:2-4, Ephesians 4:3-6)

The eternal sonship and essential, absolute and eternal deity, and the true and sinless humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ; His virgin birth, His death and burial. His physical resurrection and ascension into Heaven, and His coming again in power and glory. (John 1:1-2, 14; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; 7:14; Philippians 2:5-8; Galatians 4:4-5; 1 Thessalonians 4:16)

The personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, through whom the sinner is born again to saving repentance and faith, and by whom the saints are sanctified through the Truth. (John 16:8-11; II Corinthians 3:6; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 1:13-14)

The personal and eternal redemption from all sin and the penal consequences thereof, of all God's elect, by the substitutionary sacrifice on the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:7, Romans 3:24, 1 Peter 1:18-19, Galatians 3:13, Titus 2:14).

The total depravity of man by the fall of Adam, through whom every human being has lost all righteousness and holiness, and come under the righteous condemnation of God. (Romans 3:10-11, Ephesians 2:1-3, Psalm 51:5, Romans 8:7, Jeremiah 13:23)

The personal and unconditional election in Christ, of a multitude which no man can number, to everlasting life, out of God's pure grace and love, without any foresight of faith or good works in them. (Ephesians 1:4-5, Romans 8:28-30, Acts 13:48, John 6:37, Romans 9:16, John 15:16)

The effectual calling of all the elect by the irresistible Grace of God. (Romans 6:44, Romans 8:30)

The justification of sinners by faith alone, through the atoning death, resurrection and imputed righteousness of Christ. (Psalm 32:5, Micah 7:18, Luke 5:20, Romans 3:24, 26,28, 5-8, 8:30-32, I Corinthians 1:30-31, Galatians 3:8,9; Philippians 3:8-9, Hebrews 1:14; I John 1:7, Revelation 7:14)

The final perseverance in the state of grace of all those who have been elected by the Father, redeemed by the Son and regenerated by the Holy spirit - so that they shall never perish but have eternal life. (Philippians 1:6, John 10:

We believe that the New Testament church is a local assembly of baptized believers who have voluntarily joined themselves together to worship the Lord, obey the ordinances and carry out the Great Commission.

The Lord is doing His work in this world through local churches. The establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures (Acts 14:27; 20:17, 28-32; I Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11).

We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control. Christ is the only Head of the church (Acts 13:1-4, 15:19-31, 20:28; Romans 16:1, 4; I Corinthians 3:9,16; 5:4-7,13; I Peter 5:1-4). 


We recognize the ordinances of baptism by total immersion in water (Matthew. 28:19-20, Romans 6:3-4, Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21) and the Lord's Supper as a Scriptural means of testimony for local churches in this age (Acts 2:41-42, 18:18; I Corinthians 11:23-26).

We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Saviour and Lord; and that separation from all religious apostasy, all sinful pleasures, practices and associations is commanded of God (II Timothy 3:1-5; Romans 12:1, 2, 14:13, I John 2:15-17, II John 9-11, II Corinthians 6:14-7:1).

The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ - when the dead in Christ will be raised and, together with the living who are in Christ, will return to Heaven with Him, while all those outside of Him will go to everlasting punishment. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18, Titus 2:13, I Thessalonians 1:10, Revelation 3:10, Zechariah 14:4-11, Revelation 19:11-16, 20:1-6, Psalm 89:3-4)
