As a church and charitable organisation, we seek to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is expressed through weekly preaching, and at outreach and visitation among children, the elderly and vulnerable persons as directed by God's word. As a church, we recognise the importance of providing a safe and caring environment for children, young people and vulnerable adults. We acknowledge that these groups can be victims of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse and neglect and want to do our utmost to protect these individuals. In order to do so, we have adopted the procedures set out in our safeguarding policy in accordance with the statutory guidance. 

 

Every person has value and dignity which comes directly from the creation of male and female in God's image and likeness (Genesis 1:27). This implies a duty to value all people as image-bearers of God, and to therefore protect them from harm. These beliefs underpin our Safeguarding Policy, which can be provided upon request.
